Hunting in Cameron Parish opened strong on Nov. 7 due to large numbers of lingering blue-wing teal which have now mostly cut out for points south. Gray ducks have been around in numbers and have provided good hunting for some hunters, but the overall numbers of birds are way below what we were seeing near Holly Beach at this time last year. We don’t even have many coots! We need some serious fronts to move some birds down!
